Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need a professional makeup artist?
The last thing you need to worry about on your important day is how you look. With our extensive makeup knowledge and understanding of the event day, we can minimize any stress and allow you to look and feel your best. We have expertise in skin care, and know how to apply makeup properly.
What makeup look is appropriate for my occasion?
We can discuss various makeup styles and appearances that will best fit your needs and vision.
What brand of cosmetics do you use?
We use many different brands of makeup, but can use any makeup you prefer.
What is a makeup trial?
At a makeup trial we will discuss looks and details of your occasion. We will view photos of various makeup styles, and explore a look that will best fit your needs. If you have any photos or ideas, please bring them to the makeup trial so we can have a better understanding of your vision. We will also go over location, dates, and times of your event, and if any additional parties will be requiring makeup services. The trial will also include a full face of makeup for the look we have decided on.
Can you do makeup for groups of people?
Yes. For larger groups, additional makeup artists may be required and can be contracted on an individual basis for an additional fee.
Is the makeup used hypoallergenic?
Yes. Makeup products and brushes are sanitized between every makeup application. Please let us know beforehand if you have any skin conditions or sensitivities to any products. A sample test can also be performed on your skin to test for reaction.
What is airbrushing?
Airbrushing is a type of makeup application that uses a machine to spray a fine mist of makeup on the skin. This allows for a lighter feel of makeup which is also incredibly smooth. Airbrushing also lasts longer than traditional makeup (makeup applied using a makeup brush). These two styles can also be combined.
What is a makeup touch up kit?
A makeup touch up kit consists of samples of the cosmetic items we used for your makeup application so that you are able to touch up any discrepancies throughout your event. We can provide you a makeup touch up kit for an additional fee.
What types of looks do you do?
We will discuss different types of looks and what will best fits your needs, but we can do whatever look you are thinking about. We can do styles anywhere from high definition (lightly applied while still concealing) to dramatic makeup (a high pigment, popping look most found in high fashion).
