Dr. Jenna Mooney, DC, RYT 200


    Dr. Jenna Mooney has been a practicing chiropractor in Massachusetts for more than 20 years. Upon graduation from the New York Chiropractic College in 1995, she had the unique opportunity of practicing chiropractic while working closely with acupuncturists, massage therapists, Chinese medicine practitioners and polarity therapists within a multidisciplinary clinic in Cambridge. With a desire to help patients learn to help themselves through rehabilitation, she also worked with the Boston Red Sox chiropractor at the Boston Athletic Club. In 1998 she established her own practice, opening an office in Leominster within Global Fitness Center. Today she combines the energies of her past multi-disciplinary and rehabilitation experiences to provide a more well-rounded course of care. She helps her patients by blending chiropractic adjustments with soft tissue techniques. Not only aiding patients with acute care needs, but also teaching better physical and structural health through proper posture, stretching and exercise. Her treatments can help alleviate lower back pain, headaches, specific joint pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, tendonitis, bursitis and sciatica using various techniques to include diversified chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, electrotherapy and stretching. Dr. Mooney’s thorough and caring manner will enable you to feel confident that you have found an advocate in your quest to feel good and to function at your best.

    She began teaching a fitness-based yoga program in the year 2000 and has since enriched her yoga training, studying under Diane Featherstone at Frog Pond Yoga Centre and currently studies under Patty Townsend at the Yoga Center of Amherst. Recognizing the importance of a regular yoga practice in a well-rounded health maintenance program, Jenna often recommends yoga to her patients. Her classes are rooted in the concept of stability before mobility. Her one-hour Hatha yoga class focuses on foundational alignment and posture endurance. Jenna's passion is to help other feel good in their bodies. In addition to yoga, she also enjoys hiking, snowboarding, running, cycling, and swing dancing.

    What should I expect during the session?

    Treatment sessions with Dr. Mooney are 20-30 minutes long. Three areas of dysfunction are addressed in each session: joint alignment, related muscles, weak/imbalanced body movement.

    Dr. Mooney will assess your spine, joint structure and surrounding musculature. She has a “hands-on” approach to care and works to understand your structure and movement patterns through passive and active movement evaluation. Treatment may include a combination of chiropractic manipulation, soft tissue massage, heat, ultrasound, electrotherapies, stretches, and exercise/postural recommendations. Treatment protocols are based on patient need. Frequency of treatment is dependent on problem severity and patient response to care. Typically change/improvement occurs in one to two sessions.
