Anxiety and Stress Reduction Strategies

Anxiety and stress can limit your effectiveness and affect your work and family relationships.  The first step in managing your anxiety and stress is to understand what are the causes or triggers for you.  The focus will be on understanding the symptoms caused by anxiety and gaining insights into your anxiety.  These insights will assist you in recognizing when anxiety is affecting your life and what to do about it.  Effective strategies will be identified and practiced to enable you to regain control of your emotions and function more effectively, and you will be taught specific skills to create a positive response to your anxiety or stress triggers.

We will also discuss ways to reduce the occurrence of these situations, as well as ways to help others recognize the actions they do that can cause stress and anxiety.  Benefits include emotional balance for coping with daily pressures, improved self-esteem, improved confidence, more-effective problem solving and reduced stress.  Guided by a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and with the help and support of a group setting, our focus will be on restoring a healthy balance in your mental well-being.

This one-hour group will run for six weeks.  The next session is scheduled to begin the week of September 19th.

Thursday evenings starting September 20th, 6:30-7:30pm

Cost
$15 per session ($90 for all 6 weeks)
Drop in Rate $20 per session-- best results achieved when you attend the entire session, drop in only available if minimum number of participants registered and maximum number is not met.
