DermaPlaning Contraindications

 

If you have any of the conditions listed below, you should bring it to the attention of your esthetician. It is your responsibility to fully and accurately disclose all medical history prior to initial treatment, as well as to provide any necessary updates at all future treatment sessions.

  • *Botox or Fillers - Wait 1 week post injection

  • Retin-A - Avoid using 5-days pre and post-treatment

  • *Chemical peel - Wait 14+ days post peel

  • *Laser treatment/IPL - Wait 14+ days post laser/IPL

  • Clients prone to PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation) - Treat for at least 2 weeks prior to and following DermaPlaning with appropriate home care & melanin suppressants

  • Diabetes - Must be under control by diet or medication

  • Cancer - Not while undergoing treatment. Following conclusion of treatments doctor approval required.

  • Accutane or Isotretinoin - Okay, after 12 months of non-use and with doctors approval

  • Blood thinners

  • Higher dosages or frequent use of Aspirin

  • Active Acne

  • Cold Sores

  • Sunburn or windburned skin
